Terms of service
At Remarkable Destinations, every journey is planned with care, discretion, and attention to detail. These Terms of Service are intended to ensure that you understand the respective roles and responsibilities involved in travel planning, including the policies of airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other travel providers that may be part of your itinerary. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your traveling party.
1. Please check your documents
Please review your itinerary and all travel documents carefully for accuracy. Notify us promptly of any errors or discrepancies. The names on your documents must exactly match your government-issued identification.
2. Agent for suppliers
Remarkable Destinations and Angelica Addivinola are affiliated with Fora Travel and act solely as a sales agent for any airline, hotel, car rental company, tour operator, cruise line, or other service provider (“Suppliers”) included in your itinerary or confirmation.
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any Supplier, including their failure to adhere to schedules, provide services, issue refunds, remain financially solvent, or honor future travel credits.
You acknowledge that your travel plans may be interrupted, modified, or canceled by a Supplier, government entity, or other third party beyond our control. All cancellation, rebooking, and refund policies are determined by the Supplier and applicable law, and those policies govern your rights and remedies.
We do not have specific knowledge of the financial condition of any Supplier and assume no liability in recommending travel credits in lieu of refunds.
As part of our service, we will assist clients in contacting Suppliers for reservations made through us. However, after initial contact, ongoing communication may take place directly between you and the Supplier. We are not responsible for the outcome of such interactions.
3. Risks of travel
We assume no responsibility for, and shall not be liable for, the acts or omissions of any third party not under our control, including but not limited to events of force majeure, acts of God, unsafe conditions, terrorism, public health risks (including pandemics), illness, or weather-related disruptions.
We do not have specialized knowledge regarding risks associated with travel destinations. For current information, we recommend reviewing resources provided by the U.S. Department of State and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all entry requirements, including passport validity, visas, vaccinations, and other applicable regulations. Failure to comply may result in denied boarding, fines, quarantine, or deportation at your expense.
Travel advisories and requirements are subject to change, and it is your responsibility to remain informed.
4. Check-in
Recommended minimum check-in times are 1.5 to 2 hours for domestic flights and 2.5 to 3 hours for international flights. Due to increased security measures, additional time is advised. Failure to arrive within the airline’s required timeframe may result in denied boarding.
5. Passports and visas
A valid passport is required for international travel. Additional entry requirements, including visas, may apply depending on your destination.
You are responsible for ensuring that all required travel documents — including passports, visas, and health documentation — are valid and meet all requirements for your destination and any transit points.
Many countries require passports to be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. Additional restrictions may apply, including requirements related to criminal history or minor travel consent.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in denied entry or departure.
6. Excursions and promotional fares
Discounted and promotional fares may carry restrictions, including non-refundability or change fees. Changes to carriers, routes, or schedules may result in additional charges, including full fare pricing. Please consult with us or the airline before making any changes.
7. Price increases
Travel arrangements, particularly those involving airlines and cruise lines, may be subject to price increases, including fuel surcharges, taxes, or other fees imposed by Suppliers or governments, even after payment has been completed.
By booking travel, you agree to such potential increases and authorize your payment method to be used for these charges where applicable. Supplier terms and conditions apply regardless of whether you have reviewed them.
8. Price drops
If a Supplier reduces the price of a booked trip, we may assist with rebooking if permitted by the Supplier. However, we do not guarantee refunds, price adjustments, or successful rebooking, and applicable fees may apply.
9. Tour, cruise, and package prices
Prices are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations, tariff adjustments, or increases in operational costs. Group pricing may depend on minimum participation requirements; if those are not met, additional charges may apply.
10. Credit card merchant
If we process your payment, our role is limited to facilitating the booking and remitting payment to the Supplier.
If a Supplier fails to provide services or ceases operations, your recourse is against the Supplier, not us. You agree not to initiate a chargeback or refund request inconsistent with these terms and to be responsible for any legal fees incurred in disputing such claims.
11. If your plans change en route
If you need to modify your travel plans while in transit, please contact your travel advisor or airline for applicable fees and charges.
12. Cancellations and refunds
We reserve the right to charge service or processing fees for cancellations, changes, and refund requests.
Changes or cancellations must be made prior to scheduled departure. Unused tickets or services generally have no value after departure.
All cancellations are subject to the specific policies of the Supplier. We are not responsible for any losses resulting from failure to travel or failure to comply with Supplier policies. We will communicate applicable policies at the time of booking.
13. Hotels
Hotel reservations are often confirmed on a guaranteed payment basis. If you need to cancel or modify your stay, you must notify the hotel within the timeframe specified by that property. Policies vary by property.
14. Travel insurance recommendation
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
Coverage, including for cancellations, medical issues, or unforeseen events, is governed by the terms of the insurance policy. It is your responsibility to review coverage details, exclusions, and claims procedures directly with the insurer.
We do not guarantee coverage or claim approval and are not responsible for denied claims. Supplier-provided waivers may not include insolvency protection.
15. Supplier bankruptcies
If a Supplier declares bankruptcy, it may not honor reservations or issue refunds. In such cases, your recourse is directly with the Supplier.
Funds paid to airlines are transferred to the airline and are subject to applicable laws and regulations. Travel advisors are generally not authorized to issue refunds for bankrupt Suppliers.
Travel insurance may provide protection in such situations, depending on the policy.
16. Acceptance & changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Updates become effective upon posting to this website.
Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
